Exhibition Brief: Impressions Across Distance or The Space Between
Overview
We invite artists to participate in a Valentine’s-themed exhibition exploring love, intimacy, and connection across physical or emotional distance. The exhibition focuses on the impressions left behind by a loved one — traces, memories, marks, absences, and echoes that persist even when two people are apart.
Core Concept
Distance does not erase presence. A loved one can linger through touch remembered, objects left behind, spaces once shared, or emotions that continue to shape us. This exhibition asks artists to reflect on how love occupies space when bodies do not.
Artists are encouraged to interpret distance broadly — physical separation, time, loss, migration, emotional disconnect, longing, or anticipation — and to explore how presence is felt through absence.
