Another choice is Zita Oranje’s “Downfall”. I love the way Zita treats figures, a modern Rubenesque dimpled figure exposed in all it’s voluptuousness. I guess I enjoy this work because of its playful abandon of inhibitions.

Zita is one of those artists (and people) who seem unencumbered by the “rules” or society's expectations of demurely following the well-trodden path. So loving this artwork is just as much about enjoying the work as it is about having the utmost respect for people that follow their own minds and march to a different beat.  Zita is a young artist to watch and I look forward to seeing how she develops in the future. For now I enjoy the youthful playfulness in her works and have the utmost respect for her ability to shed inhibitions in her artworks leaving the viewer mildly jealous of this free spirited artist.

Don’t be fooled into thinking Zita’s works mere youthful frivolity, her works deeply resonate with the modern stage in which we interact in. All the difficulties and tensions as well as the joys. This young artist is one to watch
