My work explores the impact of water pollution through abstract ceramic forms and found materials, focusing on the ocean's dual role as a source of life and site of suffering. Sculptural pieces visualize the unseen damage caused by human negligence, transforming movement and material into metaphors for disrupted currents, decay, and pollution. Combining traditional ceramics with industrial materials, I contrast nature's purity with pollution's harshness. Recurring motifs like cracked forms, sediment-like layering, and net impressions symbolize the suffocation and destruction beneath the surface. A muted, industrial colour palette adds emotional weight to environmental scars. My work invites reflection, mourning what's lost and warning of what's to come, giving voice to the ocean's quiet cry and prompting awareness of our role in its healing or harm.
