Growing up in Soshanguve, a township marked by crime and violence, has profoundly shaped his identity and artistic practice. His work reflects this rich background through symbols that represent Soshanguve as a township and how it shapes his current worldview. Drawing has been extremely significant in his artistic journey, by teaching him discipline, direction and an appreciation for time, allowing him to navigate a world that often feels chaotic. He also uses printmaking and sculpture to reflect this.
