Lew Rosenberg - The Observer

Artist statement:  I observe people and see the interaction between male and female, the tension, the push-pull, the desire, the want, the need, the rejection, the new love, the infatuation stage, the old love, the complacent love. The interaction between the sexes, this is my inspiration. I paint what I see like a ying yang being torn apart by modern day pressures and the want of the balance of life returning unto itself. At the moment of returning I introduce colour, shape, form, light, fill the negative spaces with positively everything......

In the work ‘The Observer’ it is about observing and processing what one sees, what one thinks and feels about the input. By thinking and feeling the observation becomes introspective. By creating a work of art the observer becomes the observed.
