My sculptures are characterised by their inherent energy and sense of movement. For "TAKE A STAND" the intersection between the art of fashion and the art of sculptures is explored – each artwork captures a unique sense of self and sense of style. From the bold stance often taken in the world of haute couture to the effortless and chic state of being embraced by the confident in the French Riviera – Haute Petite, Riviera and Floreal encapsulates my fascination with the beauty that lies in the imperfections of the human body and the idiosyncrasies we carry with us. By translating the grace of couture into sculpture, I aim to provoke dialogue about the powerful presence of art and fashion and the importance of beauty … albeit in the eye of the beholder.
