Epilepsy Docs

I had a love for wearing high heeled shoes. But ever since I have been diagnosed with epilepsy, I had to change my ways and started to wear my Doc Martins most of the time. Although they were very comfortable, their laces kept loosening while I lectured a class. I believed superstitiously that these shoes would keep the epilepsy away. But Hegos’s friend was always tailing me. I tripped over the shoelaces and had a seizure. Tripping over shoe laces and having an epileptic seizure can be a concerning scenario for individuals with epilepsy. The sudden fall and impact from tripping can potentially trigger a seizure due to the physical stress and disruption it causes to the body and brain. During a seizure, individuals may lose control of their muscles, leading to involuntary movements, loss of consciousness, and other symptoms depending on the type of seizure.
