"Explore the deep connection between people and the spaces they inhabit, centered on the notion that landscapes and natural elements carry memory, history, and emotional resonance. The exhibition highlights how places shape identity, memory, and culture, while also reflecting how they change over time. As artists and storytellers, we contribute works that capture our personal experiences of place through drawing, painting, and sculpture.
The inspiration behind Echoes of Place is centered on the theme of longing for home, exploring the deep, often bittersweet desire for places that hold meaning, comfort, or roots. This exhibition conveys that home is more than a physical placeāit's a feeling, a set of memories, and a landscape of roots that remain embedded in our lives, no matter how far we may roam.
As both artists from diverse backgrounds, the exhibition offers an escape within the city, providing a way for us to reconnect with nature's calm and the nostalgia of open spaces. It also serves as a reminder of the importance of preserving rural landscapes in our increasingly urbanized world."

"Today we are obliged to be sensitive to our fragile environment and the fact that our resources
in Africa are not infinite. Our use of land has become an important environmental and socio-political issue. This particular work focuses on the effect of mining in communities across the
country. Matchsticks are used as metaphor to signify the power and action."
