Joyce Carreira matriculated from Pro-Arte High School in 1990 and decided to further her art studies at the University of Pretoria completing her degree in Fine Arts. Afterwards she undertook an extensive tour of Europe and Africa before being appointed as an Art Teacher at Pro-Arte High School and the National School of Arts. Joyce specialises in the anatomy of the female form that can be sseen in her paintings and sculpture.
