Elizabeth Balcomb

Elizabeth Balcomb, a self-taught South African sculptor, initially pursued nature conservation despite early artistic talent. Her profound love for the wilderness and connection with wildlife have defined both her life and artwork. Sculpting full-time for two decades, her work is informed by the voices of the wild. In 2014, she earned the Sasol New Signatures award. Her work is featured in private and public collections, such as the Pretoria Art Museum in South Africa and the Mosan Museum in South Korea, underscoring her impact as an artist.
