Biography: Alyssa van Niekerk, specialising in Oil painting and soft pastel drawings, focusing on depictions of meat and the female body, and how women and animals are depicted and perceived within society and media. Was a part of the Honours Exhibition at the UJ Art Gallery, To Build Elsewhere. Graduated from the University of Johannesburg with a Bachelor's and Honours in Visual Arts, based in Johannesburg, Gauteng.
